Modern Love Terrifies Me takes inspiration from David Bowie's 1983 hit song 'Modern Love' blending the title of the song with a line from the chorus. David Bowie fans will love the subtle details in this piece '1947' the year Bowie was born can be seen tattooed on his neck. 'Turn and face the strange' a line from Bowie's 1971 song 'Changes' appears as another tattoo, as does 'Starman' 'Rebel' and "I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise I won't bore you" a quote Bowie made during his 50th birthday concert in New York's Madison Square Garden on 9th January 1997.

Each piece is framed in a hand sprayed ornate frame that acts not only as a frame but an extension of the artwork. The frame has been embellished with graffiti tags, spray drips and symbols.
