Edge Sculptures was founded by Matt Buckley, a visionary sculptor from Shropshire, UK, whose deep connection to the natural world shapes his creative output. Raised amidst the region’s lush landscapes, Buckley’s early fascination with wildlife and organic forms laid the groundwork for his distinctive sculptural style.

With a background in ceramics and design, Buckley began his career at Robert Harrop Designs, where he honed his craft sculpting licensed figurines for iconic franchises like Wallace and Gromit and Doctor Who. In 2013, he launched Edge Sculptures, driven by a desire to create bold, accessible works that capture the soul of their subjects. His influences, from Art Nouveau’s flowing lines to the stark simplicity of modern design, inform his unique approach.

Buckley’s process begins with clay, allowing him to sculpt with freedom and energy, followed by meticulous casting in ceramic polystone and hand-painting to bring each piece to life.
