Inspired by her love of nature and birds, Mel creates vibrant mixed media artworks influenced by her encounters with hummingbirds during visits to family in America. Captured through her camera, these remarkable birds inspire her distinctive use of colour, texture and form.

Working from her home studio in the Norfolk countryside, Mel enjoys experimenting with layered textures, paints and metallic leaf to create unique backgrounds that make every piece one of a kind.
