Sarah was born in London in 1989, living there for 8 years before her family upped sticks and moved to the South West. It was in Cornwall Sarah found a passion for the outdoors and became inspired by the beautiful Cornish scenery surrounding her, using art as an outlet for her vision. In 2011 Sarah graduated Falmouth University with a BA(Hons) Illustration degree and it was here she developed her signature collage style, layering magazine cuttings and paper to create strikingly intricate and textured artwork.
After graduating Sarah worked as a freelance editorial illustrator with a client base including the Wall Street Journal, German wings Airline and Starbucks. Since settling in North Devon and opening Jackson and Young with co-founder Corinne in 2017, Sarah is often crafting visual thrills via canvas in the studio, using the ever-changing North Devon landscape and bountiful wildlife around her as inspiration. Now as an established fine artist Sarah sells her collage works worldwide.
Most recently Sarah was awarded the Ronald Morgan Memorial Award at the Royal Society of British Artists 2023 exhibition at Mall Galleries, London. She will also be exhibiting there alongside Corinne at the Society of Women Artists exhibition in June this year. Previously she has been a finalist in the prestigious David Shepherd Wildlife artist of the Year award in both 2022 and 2021.
