Whilst in essence they are prints, there’s no denying that Kerry Darlington’s much trumpeted (and fiercely in demand) ‘unique editions’ are all unique in one way or another; courtesy of her insistence on crafting small 3D additions which the acclaimed contemporary fine art practitioner hand-works into each individual compositional piece which ostensibly then renders said pictorial without precise compare. A one of a kind, effectively. And as a point in visual question right on cue, here’s the brand new Spring 2016 reveal by the much sought after Darlington, entitled ‘Peter Pan in Neverland’; and which graphically represents the 4th, much-awaited instalment in Darlington’s continuing Pan-themed series to date. This hand embellished and glossed limited edition piece, bears Darlington’s hand-signed moniker and is restricted in terms of quantity to a mere 295 of the 37” x 28” illustrative examples of her peerless talent. Thankfully there are no such parameters to Darlington’s quality, as shines forth from this hotly anticipated new mixed media study, which turns its attentions to a plethora of Neverland-based activity and adventure from the very first brush stroke.
