Catches Thieves Just Like Flies

With a slew of industry awards to his name – including being voted the ‘most popular living artist in the UK’ by BBC TV National news – hugely popular contemporary fine art sculptor, Doug Hyde's international success has gone from strength to strength too. And it’s impossible not to see how, or indeed, why, when poring over three-dimensional pieces as stunning as this, his very latest limited edition sculpture. Imaginatively entitled ‘Catches Thieves Just like Flies’ in homage to the fairly obvious subject matter, borrowed from graphic novel yore, this incredibly-crafted 7” x 10” piece comes presented on a black plinth. And, needless to say, would bring any given urban living space to life with its very existence, in our – albeit slightly biased – opinion. An entire nation can’t be wrong though, as Hyde’s reputation means demand is destined to outstrip supply (395, hand-signed iterations) as we enter 2018.
